Hi, I am Welles Tan, welcome to my blog. I had been a caricaturist for events and parties since 1990. Silhouette Cutting also called Portrait Silhouette Cutting,Profile Cutting or Shadow Cutting. It is an art that using scissors to cut out a shape of a person’s side profile using dark color paper. You can frame it like a photo, put on the desk as a decoration for memories. Within an hour, it should be about 40 - 50 cutting of A6 size to be produced, this is a professional artist's speed.
This time I stayed in Amara Resort Hua Hin at Soi 94 Hua Hin, which quiet near to Narawan Hua Hin.
As a simple person, I felt very comfortable stay in this great budget hotel.
As an artist, I really love everything surrounding me down here ;p
I believe my watercolor artists friend sure like this place, because the scene surrounding was really great for watercolor painting ;p
My breakfast!
Unexpected surprises! There are real nice art pieces decorated in the dining area! I love these art pieces very much!
Just illustrated a correct map for your reference.
I had taken 4 hours taxi to this place from Suvarbhumi Airport at Bangkok!
There were Tiffany Show at the beach!
First time I seen 3 Chinese Opera Mask Changing performance masters perform at the same time and at the beach as well! Real cool! It never happened in Singapore before i guess ;p
First time I seen this colorful candy which similar to Chinese Maltose candy.
Hua Hin having a real nice beach!
My dinner!
Thought such long size scissors was use to cut larger size paper, so I try it using an A3 size paper.
The process seems taking much more time than normal size.
This is the largest silhouette I ever done before.
Great to meet Ivan and Lee Lee (http://www.sg-airbrushtattoo.blogspot.com/) in the event. The were doing quality and nice mini T-shirt name making by airbrush in the event.
mini T-shirt name making by airbrush which mean using airbrush to spray your name on the mini T-shirt and let you take home as souvenir. To me this is a very new item in the event pre-activities market, moreover Ivan and Lee Lee using luminous color pre-done on the mini T-shirt make the artwork in a creative and unique way.
William was doing his Pebble Calligraphy in the event.
Had a great "Bak Kut Teh" which recommended and treated by Ivan & Lee Lee after work! Yahoo! Very Delicious!
The Bak Kut Teh stall was at the Kopitiam just opposite Fu Lu Shou Building.
Wendy Lim (http://www.talentsdata.8m.com/wendylim.htm) was doing her Dough Figurine art for the guests. Seems Wendy's dough figurine was getting better and better, and the way she did it was a very creative way, thought is having good quality for your event, not like any of fake Chine dough figurine artist in the event line currently.
Angela Yip (http://www.yipsrainbow.8m.com/) was doing her Rainbow Calligraphy during the event.
