Event at Chijmes Singapore

Chijmes was a nice place and the Chijmes Hall was one of the historical building in Singapore!Very nice interior of the building!Mr Lee Boon Chye was doing Chinese fan calligraphy in the event.One of the guests in cute costume!One of the guests’ in Trojan costume!

Sembawang Shipyard Pte Ltd’s Dinner and dance

I received a call at 5.45pm to look for a silhouette cutting artist urgently which have to start at 6.15pm at Orchid Country Club! This is not my first time having such urgent booking for event artist. So I quickly get my stuffs ready and rush down for a cap, luckily almost immediately get a cap and reach Orchid Country Club at 6.09pm!There was new and young caricaturist in the event!And wire crafts artist as well.

Silhouette Cutting at Trader Hotel Singapore

That was great to do silhouette cutting in the dinner and dance for IFF Annual Dinner and dance. In this event, almost all the guest was dressed I different costume; I like to do such event because usually you can see lots surprise dressed guests and they are usually in the high morale and happy mood, you will feel like you really join them in the event as well, haahaa!Beautiful guests sure will come to me! Heehee!

Caricature on Silhouette Cutting?

That should be fun to do Silhouette Cutting in caricature way which exaggerating the feature of the side profile.
Now the problem came:
1. to do a nice exaggerated profile, the guest must be having strong features, because in the details within a human face’s silhouette there are limited portions of the face can be play around, there are only: the neck, the jaws, the mouth, the nose, the forehead and the hair style. Not like caricature drawing, you can play around the color, the shadings and etc.

2. Not much people know their own side profile well, just a normal portrait silhouette of the guest, they usually need their friends to confirm the silhouette cutting whether looks like them or not; if you wanted to do an exaggerated silhouette, you have to ensure your guests having the artistic eyes and feels as yours.

Colorful Silhouette Cutting

I just tried out silhouette cutting in colorful paper, seems it looks good. To produce a nice looking color contrast, need to use a high quality paper else the quality will be bad; of course the higher quality of the paper the higher cost is necessary, haahaa!

Silhouette Cutting At Zoological Singapore and Singapore Flyer

Did silhouette cutting for McConnell’s Family Day at Zoological Singapore; although there was a worm day, but I was happily to meet the friendly and nice guests. Other thatn that, met some old friends in this event as well liken popcorn provider May, airbrush tattoo and face painting Sheila and her team.Look! This is the white tiger which in the news recently!Basically, due to school holiday, many companies will pick almost the same day to do their family day, hence certain Saturday or Sunday became hot day for entertainer’s booking, and meanwhile we might be booked 2 or more shows within such hot days.

Usually, year end like November and December was peak period for lots commercial promotion activities, hence we could be having 2 or more bookings during week end. As an entertainer, you have to be compromised that your week end burned; because we belonging to the servicing group in the society as well, haahaa!

I was luckily that having 2nd booking at Singapore Flyer!
